From the French island of Corsica comes this unique style of folding knife, the Amicu. This one is made with a Genuine Olive wood handle. These are very robust, strong knives with thick, upswept, stainless steel blades and sturdy curved handles to fit perfectly in the hand. These have very strong springs and open positively for the task at hand. Expertly made by the La Coutellerie Au Sabot company in the Auvergne region of France who's family has been making fine cutlery since 1870. Mr. Jean Sauzedde is the patriarch of the family and still working at over 80! His daughter, Frederique is the commercial manager. (see photo)
Use these as outdoor knives whether hunting or camping or trekking. You will find them strong, premium quality in the French cutlery tradition, in the Corsican style.
