This special Laguiole style knife has an engraved, lock back in addition to the famous "Napoleonic bee"., of course. This one is called "Le Rouergue" and is presented with an Exotic Violet wood handle. This wood is beautiful and durable and will make this a long lasting, robust knife. Thick stainless steel blade and polished handle with finger groove to fit perfectly in the hand. The blade locks open positively for any task at hand. Expertly made by the La Coutellerie Au Sabot company in the Auvergne region of France who's family has been making fine cutlery since 1870. Use these as outdoor knives whether hunting or camping or trekking. You will find them strong, premium quality in the French cutlery tradition in the Laguiole style. Comew with a nice leather belt sheath.
