Fancy Le Thiers style French made presentation folding knife in gift box. This style is sleek and very modern. Cutlers at Au Sabot are members of the prestigious Le Thiers Guild. Only the best earn membership in this select guild. Members are tested and inspected regularly for assurance of quality and integrity of methods. Tracing its origin to 1582 when French King Henry III established "The Coute de Tie Guild" to insure French cutlery quality, only members may use this protected mark on their products. This knife is presented with a stunning Black and White acrylic handle with a very intricate Japanese motif in the handle and set off with highly polished blade. It comes in gift box with matching black (noir) leather sheath (etui). These are made by the La Coutellerie Au Sabot company in the Auvergne region of France who's family has been making fine cutlery since 1870. Mr. Jean Sauzedde is the patriarch of the family and still works at over 80! His daughter, Frederique, is the commercial manager. (see photo)
